Reflecting on our journey through 2025

Reflecting on our journey through 2025

As 2025 comes to a gentle close, we at Hyfer Objects pause to reflect on a year shaped by exploration, refinement and meaningful collaborations. Some years move quickly; this one seemed to unfold with intention, one thoughtful step at a time. It has been a year defined by thoughtful processes, projects that seemed almost impossible and the joy of seeing ideas come to life.

The year began with the Stockholm Furniture Fair, where we unveiled the very first version of our Kakta lamp collection. Spending the week in Älvsjö allowed us to introduce the concept behind Kakta, its sculptural presence, tactile surfaces and soft yet grounded expression to a wider audience, both in our exhibition and in the Paper Bar. The response fueled our determination to continue pushing the design forward and perfecting the details.

Our collaboration with Matsson Marnell allowed some of our pieces to be experienced in an intimate setting of a private home, where art, design, and culture lived side by side. Visitors were able to encounter our work as it was meant to be, woven naturally into a warm environment.

Spring was dedicated to the details. We immersed ourselves in the world of lighting, how the lamps shaped a space, how the light behaved and the atmosphere shifted when a lamp came alive. We revisited details around the production methods, refined what needed adjusting, and sought materials that would bring depth and authenticity to the final form. For a deeper look into the design journey of the Kakta collection please read our previous blog post.

By early summer, we were ready to present the updated Kakta lamps at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen. Rather than a traditional exhibition setting, we chose to show our lamps and furniture at Hotel Grand Joanne in Vesterbro. This allowed visitors to experience our objects as they are meant to be used, surrounded by movement, textures and hospitality. Our lamps and furniture settled into the space almost instinctively, as if they had always belonged there. By the end of the week it was almost difficult for the hotel to part with them.

Just before the summer unfolded, a bespoke Hyfer Objects sofa began its own journey, across the ocean to the Newport Art Museum, becoming part of the Bobby Ansparch exhibition. Seeing one of our pieces inhabit such a cultural space, surrounded by art and stillness, was a truly humbling moment. It continues to live there beautifully.

September marked an important milestone for Hyfer Objects, with the first production of Kakta Lamps available on our website. Watching the lamps resonate with customers and find homes across different segments confirmed why we pour so much care into every step of our work.

This fall brought one of our largest collaborations to date. Producing bespoke bedside tables for 180 hotel rooms for the new hotel The Dock in Södertälje. The project required precision, adaptability and the ability to listen closely to the character of the space. Seeing the finished hotel and rooms, quiet, warm, and beautifully composed by Spik Studios was a highlight of the year.

Looking back, 2025 feels like a year of careful building of movement and momentum. As we step into 2026, we are filled with excitement for what lies ahead for Hyfer Objects; new objects, stories, spaces and relationships waiting to be shaped.

Wishing you a peaceful season and a bright beginning to the new year. May 2026 bring you clarity, inspiration and beautifully made things.
